My name is Derrick Hackett, and soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was eight years old. Growing up in Southwest Florida, I played soccer at a competitive level before moving onto the collegiate level at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fl.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2012, I began my coaching career at a competitive club in Cape Coral, Fl, in addition to being a HappyFeet coach. Shortly after starting with HappyFeet, I was able to take over as the director, although I continued coaching classes daily.

In the summer of 2018, my wife and I moved back to her hometown, Bel Air, MD, where I was lucky enough to start my own HappyFeet program. I am looking forward to bringing the excitement and fun of HappyFeet to the northern Maryland area!
